Odoo reaches another important milestone related to the localization of our all-in-one software for the Italian market: the introduction of the fiscal receipt feature within Odoo 18 (and future versions) POS app.

What is the fiscal receipt and why is it essential for Italian retail businesses?
The fiscal receipt is a document that certifies the amount of money cashed in by retailers. More than a just document, it is a real obligation for Italian retailers, necessary to certify sales and fulfill tax obligations with the Italian Revenue Agency. As a matter of fact, since July 2019, it has been mandatory for Italian businesses in the retail and restaurant sectors to connect their POS to a fiscal printer, so that all receipts are directly sent to Agenzia delle Entrate, the main Italian agency for tax assessments and compliance.
Thanks to this new feature, Odoo POS will enable you to:
